The Sunland Park Senior Center marked an important milestone with the launch of its first-ever onsite food service program. The inaugural day brought together registered participants, City leadership, and Senior Center staff to begin a new service aimed at supporting the daily needs of older adults in the community.

City Councilor Burciaga joined the Senior Center on the first day and had the honor of serving the first plate, recognizing the significance of the moment for both participants and staff. The launch represents a meaningful step forward in expanding services offered at the Senior Center and strengthening its role as a daily resource for residents.

Food service is now available Monday through Friday for registered participants. Meal tickets are distributed from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with food service taking place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. This structured schedule helps ensure an organized and consistent experience for participants.
