Sunland Park Fire Department personnel safely removed a kitten from the engine compartment of a vehicle on May 20, 2026.
The rescue occurred in the morning on the 100 block of Meadow Vista Drive. Following the successful removal, firefighters transferred the kitten to Sunland Park Animal Control officers for care and processing.
