The Sunland Park Community Library concluded its 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” with a water-themed celebration for local youth and families on July 25.
Throughout June and July, young residents participated in weekly literacy challenges and hands-on activity sessions designed to maintain reading skills while school was out. The program featured structured weekly events, including craft workshops, STEM projects, and interactive story sessions held every Tuesday.
To mark the end of the summer schedule, the library hosted a closing party featuring inflatable water slides, pool activities, and outdoor games. Parents, caregivers, and children gathered at the library grounds to celebrate their seasonal reading accomplishments.
The city extends its thanks to all the parents and caregivers who supported their children’s participation this season, as well as the library staff who organized the weekly activities.
Residents can visit the Sunland Park Community Library at 1000 McNutt Rd. or follow the library’s official social media pages for updates on upcoming fall programming, storytimes, and community resources.
