Sunland Park Fire Department personnel and Doña Ana Fire Rescue responded to an airplane crash on airport property.

Three individuals were on board the aircraft. First responders provided immediate medical care and coordinated transport for all three occupants. One person was transported by Sunland Park Fire Department SQ52 to the hospital with critical injuries. Two patients with serious injuries were airlifted by El Paso Fire Department STAR 1 and Native Air.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
