The City of Sunland Park is sharing the following information received today from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP):

CBP will conduct controlled construction detonations today between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. as part of the Mt. Cristo Rey border infrastructure project.

The work is taking place along the international border in an area not accessible to the public.

At this time, no impacts to residents, traffic, or City services are expected.

The City will continue coordinating with federal partners and will share updates if additional information becomes available.
