The City of Sunland Park extends its appreciation to America’s Job Center New Mexico for hosting the recent Community Resource Fair and for bringing workforce, health, and family support services directly to our residents. Events like this help connect our community with practical tools and guidance that support employment, wellbeing, and stability.
Residents had the opportunity to meet with several organizations providing information on job training, health programs, veteran services, and family support. Participating partners included:
- New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions / New Mexico Workforce Connection, sharing job listings, training opportunities, career navigation tools, and guidance for individuals preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce.
- Vet Center Mobile Unit, providing access to counseling, veteran support services, and confidential outreach directly on-site.
- La Clínica de Familia, with information on medical, behavioral health, and community health programs, along with educational materials for families.
- Health Care Authority, offering health coverage information, enrollment assistance materials, and connections to coverage programs.
- AVANCE, sharing parent education and early childhood development resources aimed at strengthening local families.
- Right at Home, providing information on in‑home care and assistance services for residents who may benefit from daily support.
Additional community organizations were also present, each contributing in their own way to the supportive environment of the event.
These one-on-one conversations and information tables gave residents a clearer picture of the programs available to them, how to get started, and where to turn for continued support. The City thanks America’s Job Center New Mexico and all participating partners for dedicating their time and expertise to serving the Sunland Park community.
