SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico – The City of Sunland Park has announced the rescheduling of the public hearing originally slated for the April 21 City Council meeting. The hearing, which includes items SUP-25-45 (Station X Cannabis Dispensary) and SUP-24-79 (Cronica Cannabis Dispensary), is now set for May 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sunland Park Multigenerational Center.
The decision to postpone follows an internal administrative review which determined that the required 15-day legal notice period was not met. While the request for publication was made timely, the notice was published for 11 days rather than the statutory 15 days required for a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
To uphold the principles of transparency, due process, and full compliance with New Mexico statutory requirements, City Management, in consultation with legal counsel and with the agreement of all involved parties, moved to reschedule the proceedings.
The City of Sunland Park remains committed to maintaining open, transparent, and legally compliant public processes. Proper notification is currently in process to ensure that all residents and interested parties have the appropriate time and opportunity to participate in the upcoming hearing.
The City encourages community members to attend the rescheduled hearing on May 11 to provide input on these matters.
