The City is performing maintenance at the children’s playground located at the Sunland Park Sports Complex. Crews are refilling the play area with safety wood chips to improve conditions and support ongoing maintenance.

To complete this work, the playground entrance was temporarily widened so equipment can enter and exit the area. Safety cones are in place in the interim, and the wall will be capped with mortar once the work is finished.

All play areas remain open and accessible for use. Residents may see equipment on‑site and brief, limited access near the entrance while maintenance continues.

Work is expected to be completed the first week of March.
The City will provide an update once the project is finished.
