The City of Sunland Park is actively monitoring a spill originating from Anapra, Chihuahua.
Recent updates indicate that flow has reached areas along Anapra Road toward McNutt Road,
including nearby residential areas. Multiple spill locations have been identified, and conditions
have been influenced by recent rainfall.
CRRUA crews and contractors are actively responding, including pumping standing wastewater and applying disinfection measures. As a precaution, residents may be asked to temporarily move away from areas during treatment activities.
The City is coordinating with CRRUA, IBWC, and partner agencies and continues to monitor
conditions as part of ongoing emergency preparedness efforts. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
The City will host a Town Hall meeting on June 11 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at City Council
Chambers (1000 McNutt Rd, Sunland Park, NM, 88063) to provide updates and answer
questions.
