CRRUA Arsenic Treatment Facilities Pass NMED 1st Quarter 2026 Compliance Test and Remain NMED Compliant
Results of first quarter 2026 arsenic tests conducted by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Drinking Water Bureau (DWB) show that all four arsenic treatment facilities (ATF) operated by the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) remain NMED compliant based on the department’s Running Annual Average (RAA.)
Tests results from samples the NMED DWB took on Jan. 21, 2026, show that water treated at all four ATFs are below the federal Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 parts per billion (ppb).
“This is the fifth straight NMED quarterly compliance test period in which all four CRRUA ATFs passed based on the RAA,” said CRRUA Executive Director Juan Crosby. The RAA is determined by adding the previous four quarterly NMED test results for each ATF and dividing each total by four.
“CRRUA continues to remain compliant with arsenic standards under the Safe Drinking Water Act,” Crosby added.
CRRUA provides all arsenic test results on the home page of its website at crrua.org and on Facebook at facebook.com/crruainfo.
