to improve urban planning and development? The City of Sunland Park is looking for dedicated and
enthusiastic individuals to join our Planning and Zoning Committee.
Responsibilities:
• Review and make recommendations on zoning and planning.
• Participate in public hearings and community meetings.
• Collaborate with city officials and other committee members to develop comprehensive plans.
• Ensure that development projects align with the city’s long-term goals and regulations.

Your Commitment to the Committee:
The frequency of meetings for the Planning and Zoning Committee can vary depending on the city’s needs and the committee’s workload. Typically, such committees meet biweekly to review ongoing projects. Occasionally, special meetings may be called to address urgent matters or significant projects.

All application packets received will be reviewed and evaluated to qualifications. A selection for interviews will made of qualified applicants who will be notified by phone call on the date and time of interview. All interviewees will be asked to complete the background check authorization. Candidates will be interviewed by a Panel of three individuals. Interview Panel will make a recommendation for hire to the City Manager. If recommendation is approved, the selected candidate will be notified by telephone call for job offer.
