The day-to-day business of City operations is the responsibility of the City Manager; the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), appointed by the City Council. The City Manager prepares recommendations and implements the policy direction approved by the Mayor and City Council, of the City of Sunland Park.
The City Manager is responsible for the administration of city services and programs through effective leadership and management. City personnel report to the City Manager, who oversees about 80 employees and an annual budget of about $6 million. The City of Sunland Park is a full service, community.
